What's the story with your scar?
So, a breakup. A painful breakup. How can I sum it up for you? Well, basically, I got dumped on the street after a complicated evening. And then I slammed the door of that man's car.
What was so complicated about that evening?
(Rires)
Because there was a lot of frustration between us. A year-long secret relationship, so a lot of frustration and disappointed expectations. So inevitably at some point the whole thing must come up. And then voilà, I did my Italian girl, I slammed the door with loss and smash. "Loss and smash" might be a good way to put it. And the man starts off his car and I let myself fall, I let myself fall on the floor and I exult my pain and sorrow. And I'm on the ground and I cry, and I cry loudly. I bring out the pain I have. And I'm in the middle of the alley like this, in the middle of the night, and all of a sudden I'm thinking, "I know! I'm gonna go back up to my house, get my phone, text him, and tell him to come back. " And then I'm on a wild goose chase to text him. So I get out of the alley, I take the fire stairs, which are made of metal. I take them at full speed. And I'm not thinking. I'm in such a hurry, I'm banging my shinbone really hard. It hurts instantly. I keep running. I get to my kitchen. I grab my phone and text, "Please don't leave me. Please don't leave me." Come back. Plus, I hurt myself, I'm bleeding. "And he says, 'You know I won't. We can't do this. This can't work ». There you go. So now I'm very, very unhappy. And I'm crying. I got mascara all over my cheeks and I got blood all over my leg. So I go into the bathroom, I try to mop it up, try to clean it off. And then I hear people in my kitchen and I'm like, "What is that? Did he come back? ». A glimmer of hope. No, it's not. It was two policemen who had been alerted by neighbors worried by the cries.
So, they came to see if I had a serious problem. They asked me what was going on. And I was sobbing my eyes out. « H... H... Heartache. " (Laughs) And then they said, "Ahlala! But it's gonna be okay". And then they said, "Oh, it's really nice here. What about these dream catchers. Do you make them?" You have talent. You shouldn't let yourself be put in such a bad state for a man. » They were so nice. And then I had a glass of wine and they said, "But you can't drink alone. Do you have any friends you'd like to call? »
Là je me suis dit OK, action réaction. Alors je me suis dit « Ok.
That's when I said OK, action reaction. Who can I call next door who can take care of me? I think I needed a man hug. So I thought, "Okay. My friend Sean is five minutes away. My friend Luc is at 4 minutes." I texted Luc. The cops left. And he said, " Yes, you can come. I'll take care of you. I'll take care of you. No problem." And then I just walked away. With my cheeks full of mascara and my legs full of blood. I ran to his house and he opened the door and then he took me to the bathroom and cleaned the wound. He put a bandage on it. He said, "Take five minutes for yourself. Just to cool off." He gave me a T-shirt. We had a shot of vodka. And then he held me all night and I don't think I cried over the breakup anymore because I bawled so loudly that it all came out. And this scar I hold on to it because it's on the one hand, how can I say, the end of a relationship that despite everything is a very beautiful story, and it's also the strength of friendship because it's the one that healed it. So that's it.
